Midnight Lounge

An evening-only lounge needed low, intimate light that flatters guests, frames the bar and photographs well — without a single harsh bulb in view.

The space is dark by design: deep walls, dark stone and a long bar. The brief was to create pools of warm light at each table and a glowing focal point over the bar, so the room feels busy and intimate at the same time.

We combined linear pieces over the bar with clusters of smaller pendants over the booths, all with warm, dimmable sources and shades chosen to hide the lamp from every seat. Brass finishes were specified with a protective lacquer to cope with Mumbai’s humid, salty air.

What we delivered

• Linear fixtures sized to the bar run
• Booth pendants at a consistent, seated-eye-level height
• Finish specification for a coastal climate
